My recent stay was mostly enjoyable, with clean and spacious rooms and a friendly staff that made me feel welcomed. The location offered easy ski-in and ski-out access, which was a huge advantage. However, I did find the dining options a bit overpriced and not as impressive as expected. Additionally, the need to go downstairs for the toilet was a bit inconvenient for my family.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious enough for a family of four, but the bedroom felt a bit warm and the lack of an attached toilet meant heading downstairs was a bit of a hassle during the night.
Service
9.0
The service was exceptional, with Mr. Atsushi Miyazaki personally attending to guests and ensuring that all needs were met promptly. The staff were polite and accommodating, making my stay quite pleasant.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was fantastic for skiing with easy access to the slopes and a variety of winter activities available nearby.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were decent, but I found the buffet to be a bit expensive and not quite worth the price, especially compared to other places I've been.
Facilities
7.0
The overall hotel facilities were well-maintained, and I appreciated the availability of ski lockers, but some areas felt slightly outdated.

7.2/10

The hotel experience was quite mixed. On one hand, the rooms are spacious and well-equipped for skiing, with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. The service, especially from specific staff members, was commendable, but the overall dining experience and the staffing issues during peak times were disappointing. Additionally, the location setup for skiing is good, but not entirely ski-in ski-out, which may not suit every guest's expectations.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms are spacious and well designed, being set up in duplex style with a toilet only available on the lower level. They offer excellent views of the mountains and provide great storage for ski gear.
Service
7.0
Service was friendly and helpful, particularly from certain staff members who went out of their way to assist. However, there were times when staffing shortages were apparent, especially during busy breakfast hours.
Location
7.0
While the location itself is beautiful and offers various activities, the convenience of access to food options can be a bit lacking, especially considering the hotel’s size.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were quite limited and the buffet breakfast was average, with some essential items running out and no real alternatives offered.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities, including the locker room and onsen, are well-maintained and offer comfort after a day on the slopes.

Overall, the hotel offers a beautiful ambiance surrounded by stunning views and well-driven facilities. I particularly enjoyed the spacious duplex room which was perfect for my family of four. However, the dining options nearby were somewhat limited, and there were minor housekeeping issues during my stay that could use improvement.

The Westin Rusutsu offers a beautiful escape from the crowds, with great snowfall and a unique loft room experience. While the accommodations are clean and comfortable, the dining options are limited, and staff could improve on providing local recommendations. The onsen is a highlight, but the housekeeping needs better attention to detail. Overall, it's a convenient choice for families with kids who are looking for a quieter skiing destination.

Rooms
8.0
Our loft room was spacious and unique, with a comfortable design ideal for families. The two-level layout was fun but could be a bit tricky for nighttime bathroom trips.
Service
7.0
The staff was polite and helpful but struggled with recommendations outside the hotel and housekeeping was inconsistent.
Location
6.0
The location is convenient with easy access to monorail for skiing, but the lack of nearby dining options makes it feel a bit isolated.
Dining
5.0
Dining options within the hotel were decent but limited, with fewer choices than expected. It can get repetitive if staying for an extended period.
Facilities
9.0
The onsen facilities were clean and provided a great experience both indoors and outdoors. The monorail access to the ski slopes was a big plus.

I had a wonderful experience at this ski resort. The service was exceptional, and the views breathtaking. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, perfect for families. However, the dining options could use some improvement, and the location is a bit remote, which might limit dining choices nearby.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, featuring a unique loft style with two levels, which was great for accommodating my group. It felt like a home away from home.
Service
9.0
The service was outstanding; staff were attentive and efficient, especially when I needed assistance. They truly made my stay memorable.
Location
7.0
While the hotel's ski-in and ski-out access was convenient, the remote location meant limited options for dining outside of the resort.
Dining
6.0
The food was decent, but the variety was somewhat limited compared to other places I've stayed.
Facilities
8.0
The onsen was a great addition, relaxing and well-equipped, but the lobby could use more amenities for socializing.
